About The Position

The Leasing Agent plays a critical role in the leasing process for our rental properties. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to effectively market and lease available units while providing exceptional service to prospective tenants.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in leasing, property management, real estate, or related field.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of fair housing laws and leasing regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor's degree in business administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with property management software is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and greet prospective tenants, providing a positive and professional first impression.
  • Assist prospective tenants throughout the leasing process, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Build rapport with tenants and maintain positive tenant relationships.
  • Conduct property tours, showcasing available units, amenities, and communal areas.
  • Highlight the features and benefits of each unit and the community to prospective tenants.
  • Assist prospective tenants with the application process, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Conduct tenant screenings, including background checks and credit checks, in compliance with company policies and fair housing regulations.
  • Assist in lease negotiations and ensure that lease agreements are thoroughly reviewed and understood by tenants.
  • Explain lease terms, rent payment procedures, and any additional fees.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote available units through various channels, including online listings, social media, and marketing materials.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property features, pricing, and availability.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a responsive and helpful attitude toward tenants.
  • Maintain accurate records of leasing activities, tenant information, and lease agreements.
  • Prepare and submit leasing reports and updates as required.
