About The Position

The Leasing Agent supports a busy residential property office by delivering excellent customer service to current and prospective tenants, coordinating day-to-day leasing and property management activities, and ensuring accurate and organized administrative operations. This role answers tenant inquiries, conducts property tours, manages leasing documentation, and assists the sales team while maintaining a professional and welcoming office environment.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in leasing or property management, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Experience providing administrative support in an office environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle tenant and prospect inquiries professionally.
  • Basic experience with Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency with general office support tasks such as filing, data entry, and document preparation.
  • Ability to work with leasing and property management systems or databases for applicant registration and maintenance requests.
  • Comfort using email and office productivity tools to support daily operations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, recordkeeping, and report preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, property files, and schedules.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills for interacting with tenants, prospects, contractors, and internal team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in residential leasing or residential property management.
  • Familiarity with real estate or property management processes and terminology.
  • Experience with customer care in a service-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, and comfort working in Google Drive.
  • Data entry experience in an office or property management setting.
  • Prior administrative or receptionist experience in either commercial or residential property, with transferable skills.
  • Openness to candidates with a diploma or degree; no specific education level required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with sales team members and other office staff.
  • Interest in working in a community-focused residential environment with access to natural surroundings.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls from tenants and prospective residents in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Conduct in-person tours of vacant apartment properties for potential tenants, highlighting key features and benefits.
  • Create and update maintenance requests for tenants in the internal database, ensuring accurate and timely entry.
  • Qualify leasing applicants and register their information in the system according to established procedures.
  • Organize contractors to address maintenance issues and liaise with landlords where applicable to ensure work is completed.
  • Maintain and update property files, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and well organized.
  • Prepare, print, and send out property lists for prospective tenants and internal use.
  • Handle day-to-day office operations to support smooth leasing and property management activities.
  • Assist sales team members with administrative tasks and coordination as needed.
  • File general office paperwork and sales paperwork in an orderly and accessible manner.
  • Prepare reports when needed, using available data and office systems.
  • Maintain office supplies by monitoring inventory and coordinating replenishment when necessary.
