About The Position

Cornerstone Residential is a property management company focused on exceptional service and maximizing partner revenue. We manage over 23,000 housing units across 229 communities. Our operations prioritize resident and employee satisfaction to maintain high occupancy rates and foster community loyalty, creating welcoming living environments and driving income growth for property owners. Leasing Agents are responsible for welcoming prospective residents, assisting with property tours, providing accurate apartment information, processing rental applications, securing lease agreements, and assisting with lease renewals. All duties must be performed in accordance with Fair Housing Laws and Company policy, supporting the objective of meeting client expectations within the financial operating budget and management agreement.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
Minimum 1 year of customer service and sales experience.
High School diploma or equivalency certificate required.
Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, and current motor vehicle insurance which meets State requirements.
Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management-related software, email, internet, social media).
Must be able to pass a background and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospitality, retail, sales, or customer service will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in the daily overall operations of the apartment community to ensure Cornerstone is meeting the Client's objectives and expectations.
Maintain positive, professional, and effective communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests while representing Cornerstone.
Maintain occupancy levels as established by owner/budget expectations.
Exhibit professional leasing techniques.
Assist with the completion of the monthly Market Surveys and analysis.
Assist with advertising and marketing strategies for the apartment community as needed.
Exhibit closing ratios in regards to phone and walk-in traffic per Cornerstone policy.
Assist with ensuring that all online marketing sources are updated (e.g., Craigslist) daily.
Promote positive resident/management relations, to retain desirable residents.
Place customer need requests and follow up as number one priority.
Assist with resident retention programs.
Ensure the safety, comfort, and privacy of all property residents.
Ensure move-in orientation is completed consistently with new residents.
Maintain appropriate resident files including forms, leases, documents in accordance with Cornerstone Standard Operating Procedures.
Responsible for the daily integrity and confidentiality of resident files.
Ensure that documents and reporting systems are maintained, updated, and organized.
May assist in periodic reporting requirements as requested.
Ensure compliance of risk management items such as reporting timely and all injuries, illnesses, property damage following proper standard operating procedures.
Assist residents with reporting of maintenance needs.
Document facility and maintenance needs and ensure timely completion.
Ongoing monitoring of the physical asset and identifying concerns with immediate supervisor.
Follow up on maintenance requests to promote resident communication and satisfaction.
