Leasing Summer 2027 Internship - Chicago, IL
About The Position
This internship provides an opportunity to begin a career in commercial real estate within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial sales environment. The intern supports leasing brokerage activities and special projects that inform decision-making for clients and the brokerage team. The role offers exposure to sourcing, securing, and servicing clients on both the Occupier and Landlord sides of the business. The internship runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027, and is onsite in Chicago, Illinois. Relocation assistance and housing are not provided, and the position does not offer visa sponsorship.
Requirements
- Previous internship experience in a professional environment.
- Permanent US work authorization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills, including ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career as a commissioned broker.

Responsibilities
- Support senior brokers' business development efforts by initiating outreach to new leads, managing prospect data, and organizing historical client activity.
- Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data for client deliverables and presentations.
- Assist in preparing offering materials, pitch decks, and other presentations for new business pursuits.
- Read, review, and abstract real estate documents, including leases and operating expense statements, for clients.
- Create and use Excel-based analytical tools and financial models for ad hoc analysis.
- Shadow senior brokers during transaction negotiations, evaluations, and documentation.
- Promote and support the use of JLL brokerage software and CRM programs as a technology champion.
