About The Position

The Lease Administration Specialist will work with the lease administration team in the handling of retail leases. This role will collaborate with key real estate partners, internal and external auditors along with finance and legal teams to ensure all individual, team and organizational goals and priorities are achieved.

Requirements

  • Experience working in commercial (non-residential) real estate and reviewing contracts.

  • A thorough understanding of commercial real estate leases, including all related lease documents, lease terminology and lease clauses.
  • Ability to effectively communicate clear and concise ideas verbally and in writing.
  • Creative thinker who can bring innovative ideas and approaches to solve issues.
  • Highest professional standards and an impeccable record of integrity and honesty.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, paralegal degree or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in lease administration or property management
  • Experienced with a public company, international experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of lease agreements, real estate laws and regulations

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the leasing process from start to finish, including document preparation and execution of retail leases and amendments.
  • Review and analyze lease agreements and amendments to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage and maintain a comprehensive database of lease information and documents, including expiration dates, rent schedules and Landlord contact information.
  • Monitor a portfolio of 500+ lease expirations and renewals; while maintaining comprehensive critical dates tracking list.
  • Collaborate with real estate and construction and design departments to ensure compliance with lease obligations; including but not limited to expansions, relocations and remodels of current retail locations.
  • Assist with lease abstracts and data entry into lease administration database following finance and audit requirements.
  • Prepare and provide comprehensive lease analysis, interpretation and reporting on lease activity.

  • The pay range for this role is $71,000-$80,000/yr USD.
