About The Position

The RAD1 Learning Trainer works with Operations Managers, Area Managers, IT Managers, Production Assistants, and Associates to coordinate all training related activities for the site. The individual in this position will provide facilitation, administrative management, and expected to constantly improve the long-term capabilities of the area to which they are assigned. Key job responsibilities The ideal candidate will measure production quality/quantity and applies learning tools to improve both. Evaluates and improves processes within work areas; refines learning tools and techniques across the building; assists in measuring the effectiveness of learning; measures impact of his/her development efforts; improves associates' job-related skills; develops, maintains and applies learning tools (methods, checklists and skill building agreements) to encourage associate development. Identifies areas for associate cross training and support and implements the training to support the objective; supports the updating of SOPs and SOP certification of associates and managers; assists in driving success of peak and non-peak training plans. A day in the life A day in the life of a Learning Trainer starts on the floor — working alongside associates in various process paths, observing performance, and identifying skill gaps. They deliver hands-on training for PIT operations, TDR, and process path procedures while supporting Learning Ambassadors with approved materials. Throughout the shift, they conduct audits, update training records using electronic tools, and ensure SOP compliance. They give and receive feedback in real time, check for understanding, and remove barriers to associate success. They close the day by reporting insights to area managers and contributing to continuous improvement through PDCA and Kaizen activities. About the team Rapid Asset Deployment (RAD) - RAD1 - is part of Global RAD Operations (GRO) delivering IT equipment accurately and on time through standardized operations — from receiving and warehousing to assembly, provisioning, and shipping. Guided by tenets of safety, speed, quality, and inclusion, the NA team supports Amazon businesses with the right equipment at the right place and time. GRO's Learning & Development function drives onboarding, process training, and safety programs across all sites, empowering associates and managers to grow within supply chain, operations, and IT career paths.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
  • High school or equivalent
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required
  • Experience delivering training/information to peers, hourly associates, and senior management
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Work a flexible work schedule including evenings, overnights, and weekends
  • Experience working with changing priorities and schedules
  • Experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
  • Willingness to participate in and support the Operational Excellence initiatives
