About The Position

The Learning Strategy Teams within Agency Learning align learning strategies with broader transformational initiatives. They incorporate data to synthesize tailored learning paths to suit the unique needs and aspirations of each learner. Project Managers are the driving force behind creating a seamless horizontal connectivity and working hand in hand with Learning Strategist to propel our work forward across the Agency Learning teams.

Requirements

  • Experience developing and stewarding learning strategy
  • Experience leading with data
  • Demonstrated examples of leading complex projects and program teams
  • Demonstrated examples of taking strategy to execution efficiently and with pace
  • Program Management: Create, manage and complete programs on behalf of the department by applying appropriate project management methodologies including proactive stakeholder management, dependency management across the organization, and ensuring cross-functional work is executed by deadline
  • Negotiation: Ability to engage in resolution dialogue to resolve points of difference, gain an advantage and craft outcomes to satisfy various interests
  • Initiative: Ability to assess a situation and proactively take or drive action
  • Execution Discipline: Holds themselves and teams accountable for making plans and decisions and sticking to them ensuring work is done effectively and efficiently
  • Judgement: Ability to perceive and judge things clearly, especially what is not obvious, in order to ensure strategy is translated effectively into action and results

Nice To Haves

  • A background in learning technique, performance support, instructional design or e-learning development would be helpful but not mandatory
  • Background and experience working with agents or Agency Field Leadership would also be ideal but not mandatory

Responsibilities

  • Manages highest level of complexity in project, often involving multiple workstreams
  • Facilitates consistency of efforts and develops and maintains cooperative relationships between internal and external business partners within area of responsibility
  • Works with appropriate management to assemble project teams with the necessary expertise and skills for each project
  • Evaluates new learning tactics for strategic alignment
  • Effectively delivers presentations to a variety of audiences
  • Remains current on industry trends and brings forward opportunities for innovation
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for increasing efficiency and consistency within work processes
  • Identifies appropriate stakeholders and works collaboratively to encourage diverse perspectives
