About The Position

About Us: Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) provides vital care and support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. We are looking for an organised and proactive Learning, Development and Education (LD&E) Co-ordinator to join our People and Culture team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administration and coordination skills who enjoys working with people, managing multiple priorities and ensuring things run smoothly behind the scenes. What you will be doing: As our LD&E Co-ordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of learning and development across the organisation. You will support the team with coordinating training activities, maintaining learning records, organising bookings and supporting colleagues in accessing learning opportunities. Working closely with the Head of Learning, Development and Education, you will help ensure our learning provision is well organised, compliant and responsive to the needs of our workforce.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a busy administrative or co-ordination role.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and databases.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to learning, continuous improvement and delivering excellent service.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of working within a care or similar environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate learning and development activities across the organisation.
  • Manage training schedules, bookings and learning calendars.
  • Liaise with internal and external training providers, venues and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate learning and training records and databases.
  • Monitor training attendance and completion rates.
  • Collate training feedback and communicate outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Produce routine reports and administrative information to support the LD&E team.
  • Coordinate learning resources, materials and equipment required for training events.
  • Act as a first point of contact for learning and development enquiries.
  • Support the organisation and administration of learning events, workshops and meetings.
  • Ensure all activities are delivered in line with organisational policies, procedures and budget parameters.
