RaceRocks is a woman-led, Indigenous-owned training partner based in Victoria, B.C., operating fully remotely with team members across Canada. We build end-to-end training systems for defence, aerospace, and marine. As a result, you stay up to date with emerging trends and tools in the learning industry, including appropriate use of AI in learning development. As a Learning Designer, you will contribute to the design and development of impactful, results-driven training systems for our products and clients. In our flexible, remote workplace, you will report to the Director of Delivery and create with guidance from the Director of Design and/or Senior Learning Designers. You will collaborate with a team that may include Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Learning Designers, Project Managers, and Artists. You will be the learner’s advocate. Applying your instructional design skills and learning technology expertise, you will work directly with clients from needs analysis to deployment to design, build, and test engaging learning experiences using tools such as Office 365, Slack, Jira, and Articulate 360. Learning solutions that you may help bring to our clients to solve their training issues include: Updating curriculum to address gaps and to effectively reach new audiences or goals for our defense and aerospace clients Transferring face-to-face training to a blended model by leading the design of new programs, distributed learning courseware, LMS course architecture and reporting, and onboarding programs Integrating a task trainer or simulator into existing programs to build confidence, develop skills, or address skill fade Evaluating the success of a learning product by utilizing available technologies and developing user testing or piloting strategies
