About The Position

The Learning consultant plays a critical role in partnering with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure learning and performance interventions are tightly aligned to business goals and measurable outcomes. This role goes beyond training delivery—focusing on performance analysis, strategic consultation, and solution design to enable sustainable behavior change and business results. You will work closely with business leaders, learning teams, and front‑line performers to assess needs, define performance challenges, and recommend solutions that may include learning, process, communication, or other non‑training interventions. This role ensures that learning investments are intentional, effective, and aligned to real business needs. By focusing on performance—not just training—you help organizations move from activity to impact, driving behaviors and results that matter. Requirements

  • Strong background in performance consulting, learning strategy, or organizational development.
  • Proven ability to analyze business problems, recommend solutions, and align learning initiatives to measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent consulting, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to influence and guide learning leaders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, combined with structured problem solving.
  • Effective communicator—able to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable recommendations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with digital learning platforms (LMS, LXP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with automotive or highly technical environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with course programming tools (Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or similar).
  • Experience applying adult learning principles and performance diagnostics in complex organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain long‑term, trusted relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including decision‑makers, implementers, and business sponsors.
  • Maintain a deep, current understanding of client business goals, strategies, and challenges.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner—helping clients connect performance outcomes to business impact.
  • Evaluate business issues and change initiatives to determine whether performance analysis or diagnostics are required.
  • Lead initial discovery discussions with business stakeholders to assess situational needs and align on the appropriate performance solution approach.
  • Advocate for data‑driven performance analysis and diagnostic methods before recommending solutions.
  • Design and present performance‑based learning strategies, including recommendations for non‑training interventions when appropriate.
  • Develop high‑level curriculum architectures and performance‑based learning roadmaps, including communication, enablement, and measurement plans.
  • Provide role‑based outcomes input into accreditation frameworks and certification programs.
  • Collaborate with Instructional Designers and Subject Matter Experts to ensure content accuracy and alignment to performance goals.
  • Incorporate AI tools to enhance performance analysis, learning design, and workflow efficiency.
  • Research emerging trends and collaborate with innovation teams to identify new opportunities in instructional and performance design.
  • Evaluate pilot and deployed solutions to measure effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
  • Liaise across teams to ensure seamless collaboration between consultants, designers, SMEs, and stakeholders.
  • Support and promote a culture of teamwork, inclusion, and shared accountability across all organizational levels.
