About The Position

We are currently seeking part-time learning coaches for our GradePower Learning Southwest Austin location. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with a variety of students and subjects. We seek learning coaches who are passionate about helping children grow. You do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our methods. This role is in-person and requires you to commute to the Southwest Austin location. GradePower Learning is a supplemental education provider helping students since 1984. Specializing in reading, writing, mathematics, and study skills for K-12 students, GradePower Learning uses the science of cognition to help all students develop stronger, lifelong learning skills.

Requirements

• Reliability is a must
• Must be able to commute to this location
• Bachelor’s degree, or specialization in math or language
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multitask and balance up to three students at a time
• Must reside in or within a short commute of the Southwest Austin area

Nice To Haves

• Teaching certification or a portfolio of classroom or small group experience is preferred
• Some K-12 teaching/tutoring experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time on individualized lesson plans
• Following the GradePower Learning methodology and philosophy
• Maintaining a friendly, positive, helpful tone at all times
• Helping students develop their self-confidence and self-esteem
• Overcoming academic hurdles and realizing their inner potential
