About The Position

The Learning Center Success Specialist develops, implements, assesses, and promotes academic support programs designed to improve student retention, academic achievement, and graduation outcomes. This position coordinates Learning Center operations, including tutoring recruitment, training, scheduling, program assessment, academic coaching as well as supplemental disability services and consultation. The Specialist engages directly with students to identify academic needs, makes targeted referrals, monitors student progress, and designs interventions to support success. This role fosters inclusive and responsive learning environments, collaborates with faculty and campus partners, and uses data-informed strategies to enhance program effectiveness and student engagement.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, education, or related field plus 3 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with tutoring program coordination, academic support services, and/or student success programming.
  • Education, training, and demonstrated knowledge of ADA and Section 504 as related to disability services and accommodations in higher education.
  • Familiarity and experience with student development and learning theories as applied to student assistance programs and program development.
  • Experience with academic coaching initiatives, including time management, study skills, and learning strategies
  • Master's Degree
  • 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
