About The Position

The Center for Human Development (CHD) is looking for a Learning and Performance Specialist to join their Learning and Development team. This role requires expertise in learning management systems, training software applications, and adult learning principles. The Specialist will report to the Director of Learning and Development.

Requirements

• Foundational knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning principles.
• Demonstrated ability or strong potential to facilitate effective training for adult learners.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in training, education, or related field (internship experience considered).
• Demonstrated proficiency with workplace technology and systems, including Microsoft 365 and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience working with or the ability to quickly learn enterprise systems such as Electronic Health Records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led and facilitated training (in-person and virtual) across assigned program areas.
• Apply adult learning principles and facilitation of best practices to deliver engaging, learner-centered experiences.
• Assess learner needs and adapt delivery methods to support knowledge transfer and on-the-job performance.
• Support the development and delivery of training materials, including eLearning, job aids, and performance support tools.
• Partner with managers, supervisors, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and address performance gaps.
• Support the design and development of learning solutions using established instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE).
• Translate complex or technical content into clear, accessible learning materials for diverse audiences.
