About The Position

Trajan Wealth is a rapidly growing Registered Investment Advisor firm with over $3 billion in assets under management and advisement. They distinguish themselves through a fully integrated, in-house model that combines fee-only wealth management, estate planning (Trajan Estate), and tax strategy (Trajan Tax) under a single fiduciary standard, referred to as the Family Office. The firm is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to spearhead the creation and implementation of training programs throughout the organization. This role is crucial for onboarding and developing Financial Advisors, as well as ensuring consistent knowledge, performance, and client experience for all employees. The manager will oversee the firm's training strategy, curriculum, and materials, collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to foster advisor success and company-wide development. This is a significant opportunity for a financial services professional passionate about developing scalable training programs, improving employee performance, and supporting a growing company. The position is fully onsite at the Scottsdale Corporate office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field preferred)
  • 4-7 years of experience in Learning & Development, corporate training, or instructional design, ideally within financial services or a regulated industry
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable training curriculum from scratch, including onboarding programs, facilitator guides, and self-paced learning content
  • Strong foundation in adult learning principles with a track record of designing and delivering effective, engaging training programs
  • Tech-savvy with hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude or similar) to accelerate content development, automate workflows, and enhance the learner experience
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and modern training technologies to deliver and track programs
  • Familiarity with financial planning concepts, retirement strategies, or the ability to rapidly learn industry-specific material
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences across experience levels
  • Highly self-directed and autonomous, thrives in a fast-growing environment, takes ownership, and drives initiatives forward without waiting to be told
  • Hungry to build something meaningful; energized by the challenge of creating structure and scale where little existed before
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Data-driven mindset with experience measuring training effectiveness and applying insights to continuously improve outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate new advisor onboarding and training programs, ensuring a strong foundation in Trajan Wealth's planning philosophy, systems, and client experience
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve training curriculum, materials, and delivery methods in-person, virtual, and self-paced, building from the ground up where needed
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging learning technologies to enhance curriculum development, personalize learning pathways, and improve training efficiency and scale
  • Partner with leadership, compliance, and subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with firm standards
  • Identify skill gaps across advisor and employee teams and implement targeted training initiatives to address development needs
  • Manage and maintain a centralized library of training resources, playbooks, and documentation
  • Track and measure training effectiveness, using feedback and performance metrics to continuously refine programs
  • Support ongoing professional development through workshops and continuing education initiatives
  • Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in advisor training, L&D technology, and AI-assisted learning
