The Lean Performance Systems Assistant is responsible for analyzing current processes through time studies and continuous improvement activities to identify waste and driver operational efficiencies. They support the development of standard work, aid in various initiatives, and help implement improvement actions by working closely with teams.

Requirements

  • Pursuing an Computer Science, Mechatronics, Software, or Manufacturing Diploma/Degree or related field in a post-secondary institution.
  • Is registered in a co-op program, and is eligible to work the Fall 2026 term (Sept. - Dec.).
  • Has strong mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Has programming and analytical skills.
  • Is detail-oriented.
  • Has good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct time studies.
  • Analyze current processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Understand and help with the standard work method development.
  • Support in the 5S blitzes and prepare documents.
  • Support in the Kaizen activities and standard work
  • Contribute to the culture of Continuous Improvement.
  • Support identifying wastes and implementing process improvements.
  • Implement improvement actions by supporting the change in the teams.
  • Other duties as assigned
