About The Position

The Lean Manufacturing Assistant is responsible for continuous improvement initiatives, conduct time studies, and analyze current processes and procedures to find opportunities for improvement. They will also support in 5S Blitzes, Kaizen activities, and other administrative tasks. Requirements

Pursuing an Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Manufacturing Engineering Diploma/Degree or related field in a post-secondary institution.
Is registered and eligible for a 4 month co-op starting in the Fall 2026 work term.
Has strong mechanical/mathematical aptitude and manual dexterity.
Is detail-oriented.
Has good communication skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
Able to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

Conduct time studies.
Analyze current processes and procedures to identify opportunities for improvement.
Understand and help with the standard work method development.
Support in the 5S blitzes and prepare documents.
Support in the Kaizen activities and standard work.
Contribute to the culture of Continuous Improvement.
Support identifying wastes and implementing process improvements.
Implement improvement actions by supporting the change in the teams.
Other duties as assigned.
