YOU As a Lean Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be responsible for streamlining the manufacturing process, eliminating waste, increasing efficiency and driving continuous improvement through the plant and warehouse/ shipping department. You will facilitate Kaizen events and support team leaders to identify bottlenecks in processes, collect and analyze data, implement countermeasures, evaluate process after change, compile results, present findings and solutions, recommend permanent changes to processes, and train associates on continuous improvement methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial /manufacturing engineering, required.
  • 3 years Lean Continuous Improvement experience, required.
  • Lead kaizen events, conduct time studies, conduct root cause analysis and 5Whys, conduct 5S, teach A3 thinking and PDCA, and analyze Value Streams.
  • Analytical ability: Data collection and statically significant analysis.
  • Ability to perform advanced Microsoft Excel skills such as, V-lookup, Pivot tables and charts, Nested If Statements, and Macros.
  • Project management, presentation skills/power point skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of the Lean Continuous improvement roadmap through training our associates on 5S and Lean Methods and Tools, facilitating kaizen events, and managing improvement projects pipeline.
  • Facilitate/Support Lean (kaizen) events aimed to remove process waste and serve as a coach/mentor to team leads and associates.
  • Collect, organize and analyze data, summarize findings, develop conclusions for projects and key business metrics and/or processes.
  • Maintain project-tracking pipeline, prepare cost benefits analysis for review with management team, and make recommendations for prioritizations.
