About The Position

Ensure the consistent qualitative integrity of tobacco blends and sample management operations by coordinating blend execution, sample handling, documentation, final Origin Inspection preparation and people management in full compliance with JTI quality, safety, sustainability, and integrated management system standards.

Requirements

  • Technical or university-level qualification aligned with operations, quality, or logistics.
  • Proficient in English with strong communication and writing skills, capable of interacting effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Basic understanding of blend quality control processes and quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of sample traceability requirements and proper documentation management.
  • Familiarity with IMS and 5S principles and their application in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of EHS policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • People supervision skills, including task coordination, guidance, and day-to-day oversight

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all qualitative aspects of tobacco blends are executed in accordance with JTI standards by monitoring processing activities, internal classifications, and origin inspections. Actively identify deviations, guide operational teams, and implement corrective actions to ensure optimal usability, qualitative consistency, and expected chemical outcomes (e.g., nicotine alignment).
  • Coordinate and control the receipt, identification, mapping, storage, and disposal of all tobacco samples. Ensure traceability and proper labeling of samples (physical and system-based), optimize storage layouts in cold rooms, and implement continuous improvement actions to maximize space utilization, accessibility, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop, maintain, and provide all required documentation related to samples, inspections, shipments, imports, exports, and traceability. Act as the focal point for documentation support to internal and external stakeholders, including Quality Control, Packed Logistics & Warehousing, Leaf Processing, Finance/Tax, and LPI. Manage operational budgets and purchase orders (POs) related to the area.
  • Implement and sustain IMS, 5S3R, housekeeping, and visual management standards within blend and sample operations. Develop and maintain procedures, One Point Lessons (OPLs), checklists, cleaning schedules, responsibility matrices, and continuous improvement dashboards, ensuring full compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and energy management requirements.
  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and sustainable working environment by actively promoting EHS and ESG standards, conducting safety dialogues, identifying risks, and driving preventive actions. Lead, engage, and develop team members through clear task allocation, performance expectations, frequent feedback, and coaching. Monitor attendance, support workforce planning (including temporary staff), and collaborate closely with People & Culture to ensure team capability, motivation, and continuous development.
