Tessera is seeking a Motivated and Hardworking Leadman Mechanic EVT (Training) with a Positive/Professional attitude. This role serves as the Lead Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) and technical subject matter expert for maintenance operations supporting Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles, structural fire apparatus, emergency response vehicles, military support equipment, and associated systems. The Leadman Mechanic will conduct and oversee annual and periodic load tests, aerial device inspections, pump performance tests, and operational readiness evaluations. They will coordinate and assign daily work activities for EVT technicians and mechanics, provide technical leadership and hands-on assistance in the diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, and testing of complex systems, and perform and oversee various inspections and corrective maintenance actions. The position also involves reviewing completed repairs, assisting management in planning workloads, leading troubleshooting efforts on complex vehicle faults, ensuring work is performed in accordance with technical manuals and standards, and providing mentoring and training to junior technicians. Additionally, the Leadman Mechanic will monitor employee performance, maintain accurate records, coordinate with various stakeholders, ensure proper use of tools and equipment, prepare for inspections, promote a safe work environment, lead emergency maintenance activities, perform road tests, serve as acting supervisor in management's absence, maintain a professional appearance, and monitor parts availability.
