About The Position

Under the guidance of the Leadership Development Team Manager, the Leadership Program Facilitator performs advanced (senior-level) training and development work designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating leadership development programs across the HHS system. This position facilitates and designs high-impact learning experiences, provides individualized coaching to program participants, and consults with HHS divisions and programs to identify and address leadership development needs. The role collaborates with team members to develop and refine leadership content for programs, academies, workshops, conferences, and agency events. The Leadership Program Facilitator serves as a key member of the team responsible for facilitating the HHS System’s leadership development programs and four leadership academies. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university
  • Two years of training experience in a professional setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience training or facilitating may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis
  • Public speaking and facilitation experience strongly preferred
  • Experience facilitating training in a hybrid learning environment, including both in-person and virtual delivery, using technology to engage participants and support effective learning outcomes is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and delivers high-impact sessions for the HHS System’s leadership development programs and academies using adaptable delivery methods for in-person, virtual, and hybrid environments. Applies adult learning and instructional design principles to enhance engagement and learning.
  • Provides one-one coaching to leadership program participants to support individual development goals, strengthen leadership competencies, and reinforce application of program concepts.
  • Develops and delivers workshops, conference breakouts, keynote presentations and other professional development offerings for HHS staff and leaders as requested.
  • Provides guidance and consultation on leadership and professional development topics and activities to HHS System divisions and programs.
  • Determines appropriate evaluation methods and analyzes participant feedback, learning outcomes, and program data to assess the effectiveness of leadership development content, presentation formats, and learning strategies. Prepares evaluations, reports, summaries, and recommendations accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assists with the design, development, and implementation of new technology to enhance leadership program experience and content delivery. Performs additional duties and special projects as assigned.
