Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major. Degree must be obtained by start date.
  • Willing and able to operationally relocate to various RTX geographic locations across the United States for three distinct 8-month program assignments.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting or communicating technical or operational data to external stakeholders, peer groups, leadership, or customers; OR holding a designated leadership or coordinator role within a student organization, design team (such as Formula SAE), or project group.
  • Experience or coursework utilizing data analytics, business intelligence, or visualization tools—such as advanced Excel, Tableau, SQL, Qlik Sense, SAP, Power BI or other relevant tools

  • Foundational understanding or exposure to Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement tools.
  • Baseline familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) architectures, specifically SAP.
  • Strong data literacy with a demonstrated capability to interpret, analyze, and drive decisions from large operational data sets.
  • Previous experience as an intern or co-op within an RTX business unit (Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, or Raytheon).

Responsibilities

  • Complete three 8-month rotational assignments across various U.S. locations, adapting quickly to new manufacturing facilities, business units, and operational teams.
  • Execute core duties within key functional areas across Materials Planning, Execution, Demand Management, and Logistics.
  • Communicate cross-functionally with engineering, global supply chain, contractors, logistics personnel, and business programs to align operational goals.
  • Present key deliverables, performance metrics, and operational updates during weekly executive escalation calls, production meetings, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reviews.
  • Lead and participate in high-impact special projects focused on cost reduction, continuous improvement, inventory optimization, and new enterprise system integration (such as SAP S/4HANA).
  • Manage, analyze, and maintain part health and availability within standard planning architectures, evaluating Material Requirements Planning (MRP) signals and adjusting Reorder Point (ROP) logic.
  • Identify and implement shop floor process improvements that eliminate waste, increase production output, and reduce overall costs.
  • Coordinate and ensure accurate, timely material flow across the assembly floor while maintaining rigorous 6S workplace organization standards.
