Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major. Degree must be obtained by start date.
  • Willing and able to operationally relocate to various RTX geographic locations across the United States for three distinct 8-month assignments
  • Demonstrated experience using at least one or more data analytics or visualization tool (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or MATLAB)
  • Demonstrated experience presenting/communicating technical or operational data to external stakeholders, peer groups, leadership, or customers OR holding a designated leadership/coordinator role within a student organization, design team (e.g., Formula SAE), or project group
  • Experience using continuous improvement fundamentals such as Lean Six Sigma, DMAIC, 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping or other related and relevant tools

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an intern or co-op within an RTX business unit (Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, or Raytheon).
  • Strong self-motivation and a team-oriented mindset, with a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic operational environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, whether through academic projects, student organizations, or community involvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate manufacturing or logistics concepts to cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for driving continuous improvement and manufacturing optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Complete multiple rotational assignments across various U.S. locations, adapting quickly to new manufacturing facilities, business units, and operational teams.
  • Execute core duties within key functional areas, which may include Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, or Materials Management.
  • Support day-to-day production, procurement, or planning activities in roles such as Continuous Improvement Analyst, Operations Engineer, Procurement Associate, Materials Planner, Production Supervisor, or Project Leader.
  • Partner with cross-functional groups to drive continuous improvement, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure supply chain resiliency.
  • Stretch your capabilities by leading projects, managing material flow, or supervising frontline production teams to solve real-world operational challenges.
  • Actively participate in programmatic leadership training, professional development cohorts, and mentorship opportunities with senior RTX leaders.
