Leadership Board Member

Lifewise Academy•Zeeland, MI

About The Position

Leadership Board Members support the completion of launch steps 8–10 and the operation of a live LifeWise program. They provide input and direction to the program director, who manages day-to-day operations, and assist across the five areas of operations: Leadership (recruiting and onboarding staff and volunteers), Location (researching, securing, and preparing facilities and transportation), Logistics (coordinating details and maintaining positive communications with the school), Loot (leading fundraising and managing the budget and finances), and Language (ensuring public communications are excellent and use appropriate messaging). The board should have three to nine members in addition to the program director, represent at least three churches and the broader Christian community, and assign responsibility for each of the five operational areas. Members may take responsibility for more than one area. Board members may not hold a paid position within the program while serving on its leadership board. Members are expected to demonstrate commitment to the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith and Core Values, participate actively in a local church whose doctrine aligns with that statement, complete role-specific training and recurring background and child-safety training, help execute the pre-launch T-Minus Plan, participate in fundraising, attend scheduled meetings, serve for at least one year, and pray consistently for the local program. Each member must provide contact information for a local church leader at a church where they actively participate. To apply, use the “Join the Team” button on the program webpage. Applicants will be contacted by the LifeWise team with next steps. The position is classified as a volunteer role (Grid Level 1a).
