About The Position

Manchester Tank is seeking a Lead to direct workers engaged in production activities to ensure the continuous production of conforming product in the most efficient and safe manner possible. This role involves training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, and addressing complaints and resolving problems in the absence of the department supervisor. The Lead may also assist with production tasks and operate lifting devices as needed. A key aspect of this role is to identify opportunities for improvement in safety, environmental practices, and overall processes, while strictly adhering to all EHS guidelines and procedures. This includes reading and understanding Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and EHS Work Instructions, reporting unsafe conditions promptly, and following proper machine shutdown procedures. Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Requirements

• 3G weld certification or ability to pass weld test
• Set-up and operate machines and welding equipment
• Blue print and weld detail knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Good attendance

Responsibilities

• May assist with performance of production tasks as needed.
• Operation of lifting devices as needed.
• Looks for opportunity to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
• Follows all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
• Read, understand and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
• Shut down process if unsafe.
• Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
