Requirements

Previous lead hand experience
Excellent time management, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to operate and train employees on material handling equipment, such as forklifts and Bobcats
Valid Class 5 drivers licence
Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions while wearing proper PPE

Responsibilities

Completing yard duties (organizing yard, cleaning yard and equipment, plowing, etc.) along with the Yard Hands
Leading the preparation of rental equipment and ensuring timely and accurate execution
Ensuring the secure and precise loading and unloading of equipment and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed
Training Yard Hands on yard processes and procedures, and the general maintenance, cleaning, testing and troubleshooting of equipment
Taking the lead on yard projects (tool crib prep, etc.) and delegating tasks to Yard Hands
Ensuring customer service standards are met and addressing any escalated customer concerns by providing solutions
Escalating staff problems to Branch Manager when applicable
Identifying areas for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance efficiency
