About The Position

The Lead Yard Associate helps achieve world-class store performance while contributing to and supporting the branch’s overall strategy, performance, and growth. The role leads by example in organizing products for delivery to job sites and maintaining the overall organization of the branch. It also supports customers with product selection and helps maintain nursery products as needed.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
• Safety-minded work ethic.
• Customer-focused, enthusiastic, and dependable team player.
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working.

Nice To Haves

• Green industry experience and familiarity with landscape, hardscape, nursery, forestry, or irrigation products.
• Experience operating equipment such as a forklift, skid steer, or front-end loader.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Unload products from incoming trucks.
• Load products into outbound customer and company vehicles.
• Replenish or move products at the branch as directed.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide additional support when needed.
• Help maintain nursery products through activities that may include production, spacing, pruning, fertilization, watering, and winter protection.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working that positively impact business performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
