About The Position

White Cap is hiring a Lead Rental Yard Associate to oversee rental yard operations and help ensure rental equipment is maintained, inspected, and ready for customers. The role audits required documentation and records, establishes maintenance schedules, oversees equipment service and repairs, and manages rental inventories and transactions. The associate also maintains the cleanliness of rental equipment and the yard, opens and closes the yard, handles customer issues, authorizes refunds, and oversees forklift maintenance and daily pre-operation checks. The position generally requires 7+ years of experience. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Generally, 7+ years of experience.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of lead experience in a similar industry.
Forklift experience.
Spanish language proficiency.
Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Audit required documentation, timesheets, checklists, receiving records, repair orders, and maintenance logs.
Establish and maintain a written maintenance schedule.
Oversee equipment service, repair, and rebuilding as necessary.
Ensure rental equipment is in good, usable condition before it goes to customers.
Inspect returned rental equipment for damage and report damage according to established procedures.
Perform weekly and monthly rental equipment inventories.
Monitor rental transactions to track lost or stolen equipment, including filing police and insurance reports as needed.
Remove dirt, concrete, and other debris from rental equipment.
Ensure the rental area and equipment are cleaned regularly.
Open and close the rental yard, authorize refunds, and handle customer issues.
Oversee forklift maintenance and daily completion of pre-operation checklists.
Administer associate goals and training programs, including safety training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
