About The Position

White Cap is hiring a Lead Warehouse Associate to support warehouse and yard operations for a distributor serving professional contractors. The role coaches and trains junior warehouse associates on proper processes and procedures; safely operates a forklift to load, unload, and move merchandise; picks, packs, and ships customer products; and receives, counts, and records shipment information in the system. Work may take place inside the warehouse or outside in the yard. The position also includes lifting and carrying materials up to 50 pounds and performing other duties as assigned. The posting states that the role generally requires 5–7 years of experience in the area of responsibility. The preferred schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 AM–4 PM.

Requirements

Generally, 5–7 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM.
Ability to stand, walk, or bend for full shifts and safely lift or carry items typically ranging from 40 to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work standing on concrete floors in variable, non-climate-controlled environments, including outdoor lumber and structural steel yards through seasonal weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of inventory management, including stock rotation, cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, and shipping and receiving accuracy.
Ability to identify specialized construction products by material, grade, type, and dimensions.
Forklift experience.
Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Attention to detail.
Spanish language proficiency.
