About The Position

This role is responsible for proficiently preparing wall surfaces for wallpaper installation, installing wallpaper, and performing wallpaper repairs. The Lead Wallpaper Hanger will work on various interior surfaces of a building with different types of commercial wallpaper. This position involves planning, coordinating, scheduling, and assigning wallpaper jobs, as well as training and providing work direction to wallpaper team members.

Requirements

Possess a diploma from an accredited high school or have attained the equivalent GED.
Experience in hand trimming fabric wallpaper.
Experience in painting and sheet rock work and finishing.
Proficient in different equipment related to hanging wallpaper.
Ability to use hand and power tools skillfully and safely.
Ability to secure all tools, materials, and equipment required for each assignment.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with supervisor, co-workers, and customers.
Ability to maintain material, job, and personal records.
Ability to communicate well with clients, vendors, fellow partners, visitors, and family members providing warm and friendly greetings and an approachable attitude.
Ability to answer questions professionally when appropriate.
Must maintain timely, regular attendance.
Punctuality.
Professional appearance and adherence to Company’s Dress Code Policy.
Ability to talk, hear, and see effectively for job performance.
Ability to perform tasks involving occupational hazards.
Ability to follow established safety regulations, including fire protection & prevention, smoking regulations, and infection control.

Oversee and organize work schedules for wallpaper crew or crews to meet deadlines.
Implement priority assignments to ensure prompt completions.
Review work in progress.
Use hand and power tools skillfully and safely.
Secure all tools, materials, and equipment required for each assignment.
Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with supervisor, co-workers, and customers.
Maintain material, job, and personal records.
Ensure wallpaper installation is installed properly and within industry standards.
Understand and perform proper wall surface preparations prior to wallpaper installation.
Train and provide work direction to the wallpaper team members.
