About The Position

This role is responsible for proficiently preparing wall surfaces for wallpaper installation, performing wallpaper installations, and conducting wallpaper repairs on various interior surfaces of a building using different types of commercial wallpaper. The Lead Wallpaper Hanger will also plan, coordinate, schedule, and assign wallpaper jobs, as well as train and provide work direction to wallpaper team members.

Requirements

  • Proficiently prepare wall surfaces for the installation of wallpaper.
  • Install wallpaper.
  • Perform wallpaper repairs.
  • Work on various interior surfaces of a building with various types of commercial wallpaper.
  • Be proficient in different equipment related to the task at hand in hanging wallpaper.
  • Experience in hand trimming fabric wallpaper.
  • Experience in painting and sheet rock work and finishing.
  • Must possess a diploma from an accredited high school or have attained the equivalent GED.
  • Talking: Necessary for communicating with others.
  • Hearing: Necessary for taking instructions from others.
  • Sight: Necessary for doing job effectively and correctly.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, schedule, and assign wallpaper jobs.
  • Train and provide work direction to wallpaper team members.
  • Oversee and organize work schedules for wallpaper crew or crews to meet deadlines.
  • Implement priority assignments to ensure prompt completions.
  • Review work in progress.
  • Use hand and power tools skillfully and safely.
  • Secure all tools, materials, and equipment required for each assignment.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with supervisor, co-workers, and customers.
  • Maintain material, job, and personal records.
  • Ensure wallpaper installation is installed properly and within industry standards.
  • Understand and perform proper wall surface preparations prior to wallpaper installation.
  • Assist, if needed, in center/agency surveys (Licensure / JCAHO) and any subsequently required reports.
  • Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast of changes in your field as well as to maintain current license/certification, as required.
  • Attend and participate in mandatory in-services.
