About The Position

The Visual Merchandising Lead partners with store management and the District Visual Manager to execute the store’s visual merchandising and display strategy. The role helps model and coach visual team routines and disciplines that maximize productivity, achieve visual standards, and keep the store a neighborhood destination for inspiration.

The Visual Lead partners with the General Manager and District Visual Manager to plan and execute floorset timelines, adapt visual directives to the store’s ownership, layout, and customer, and identify opportunities to improve profitability. The position also supports associate productivity, talent development, onboarding, training, workload planning, and effective customer service. The role requires compliance with company policies and safety procedures, and an environment where associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect.

This is a full-time role. Full-time associates are expected to have open availability to meet business needs. The position requires extended mobility on the sales floor and the ability to lift and mobilize items weighing up to 75 pounds using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

Nice To Haves

• 1–3 years of retail sales experience with shift supervision experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in home-related design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities preferred; specialty retail experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead visual merchandising and display.
• Partner with the General Manager and District Visual Manager to map, plan, and execute floorset timeline targets to drive sales and implement seasonal strategy.
• Lead and maintain daily routines for efficient execution of markdowns, promotions and signage, replenishment, and recovery.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and District Visual Manager on adaptations or substitutions to directives based on store ownership, layout, or customer.
• Analyze reporting to identify opportunities to improve profitability and drive results.
• Communicate inventory needs to the District Manager and distribution in partnership with the General Manager to increase sell-through, maximize margin, and improve profitability.
• Partner with the General Manager on associate productivity and performance related to visual standards.
• Maintain organization of visual supplies and signage, and communicate supply needs to the General Manager.
• Partner with the General Manager to ensure effective payroll utilization and workload planning.
• Partner with the General Manager to assess, recognize, and motivate talent.
• Support associate onboarding as a learning partner and guide; facilitate visual training and skill-building activities for the visual team as required.
• Model genuine and enthusiastic interest in customers, prioritize customer needs, and connect customers with available Design support.
• Follow safety, security, injury, and emergency policies and procedures.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain an environment where associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, consistent with the People First Philosophy.
• Perform projects and assignments as directed by the management team.
