About The Position

As a Lead Videographer, you will drive the video strategy for Samsara, solving ambiguous and high-impact visual storytelling problems across multiple teams. You will influence the broader direction of our video content and its impact on the company’s brand and customer success stories. This is a remote position and is open to candidates who are based within 90 minutes of our SF Corporate Office and will require travel up to 30% of the time.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in video production and strategy.
• Established subject matter expert with a deep understanding of evolving video technologies and AI-enhanced production tools.
• Proven experience leading large-scale, cross-functional video projects from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Capture and edit world-class video productions as required by the business.
• Drive video strategy and solve complex, ambiguous problems that have substantial impact across multiple functional areas.
• Influence the broader direction of Samsara’s visual media and contribute significantly to the company’s overall creative strategy.
• Lead deep investigations into complex production issues, surfacing root causes and defining roadmaps for major video problem domains.
• Orchestrate complex video initiatives involving multiple teams, building consensus and alignment across organizational boundaries.
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles in every production.
• Manage equipment inventory and prioritize additional equipment needs in coordination with budget and resources.
• Source and manage freelance Video Production support as needed for shoots and video projects.
• Work cross functionally with Motion Design to ensure brand consistency across projects.
