About The Position
Westfield Veterinary Group is seeking a Lead Veterinarian to join their expanding team in Union, New Jersey. The Union facility offers a comprehensive range of services including urgent and critical care, hospitalized care, specialty referral consultations, exotic pet appointments, wellness and preventive care, surgery, dentistry, and end-of-life services. The hospital is AAHA-accredited and equipped with state-of-the-art technology and an on-site laboratory for advanced diagnostics and general care. Westfield Veterinary Group is part of Community Veterinary Partners (CVP), which aims to create meaningful moments between pets and people by supporting their teams with trust, support, and resources.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in New Jersey.
- Experience in general practice veterinary medicine.
- Ability to make medical decisions for patients.
- Willingness to collaborate with a large network of veterinarians.

Responsibilities
- Lead the veterinary team and provide medical direction.
- Make the best medical decisions for patients within a supportive team.
- Provide urgent and critical care, hospitalized care (including ICU and isolation), specialty referral consultations, exotic pet appointments, wellness and preventive care, surgery, dentistry, and compassionate end-of-life services.
- Utilize state-of-the-art technology and an on-site laboratory for timely diagnostics and advanced general care.
- Collaborate with a network of over 600 doctors across 148+ hospitals.
