The Lead Veterinarian will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of veterinary care, including appointments, surgeries, wound treatment, and dental procedures. This role involves extensive client communication for education on pet care, wellness, illness, and post-operative expectations. The Lead Veterinarian will also perform diagnostic procedures, manage patient records, handle client invoicing, and work with the Practice Manager to resolve customer complaints. A key part of this role includes staff management, such as interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, and supervising veterinary technicians and associate veterinarians. The Lead Veterinarian will also manage student externships and mentor new graduates. Financial oversight of the Center, including participation in budget meetings, is also a responsibility. Additionally, this role requires ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, participating in marketing programs, managing brand reputation, and monitoring online reviews.
