About The Position
As Lead Veterinarian in Pueblo, your day begins by performing HQHV spay/neuter surgeries for shelter, TNR, and community animals. Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited veterinary medical college – DVM or equivalent.
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Colorado.
- Three plus years of experience in a high volume spay/neuter clinic or shelter setting.
- Three plus years of experience practicing veterinary medicine in an animal shelter, including surgical procedures, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated aptitude in clinical medicine and surgery.
- Experience in animal welfare and shelter operations.
- Ability to work and make decisions independently.
- Demonstrated success in working with a diverse team of professionals, skilled in managing varied relationships and successful at facilitating collaboration and cooperation.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Authorization to conduct a background check.
- Waiver of any and all claims against HSPPR for invasion of privacy in respect to drug testing and background checks.
