About The Position

StrongSuit is seeking a hands-on UX Designer to join their team. The company is developing the most advanced legal generative-AI platform, transforming the trillion-dollar legal industry. StrongSuit has raised $13M since 2023 and was recognized as the Legal Research Platform of the Year. Their platform is deeply integrated, covering legal research, drafting, fact and timeline organization, discovery, and an agentic Assistant, all centered around a single legal matter. They prioritize purpose-built, interactive, visual, and iterative workflows, believing that exceptional design is critical to their success. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing SaaS or workflow products (portfolio required).
  • Ability and experience using AI for design, particularly for prototypes.
  • Proven track record of shipping data-dense or professional-grade tools and improving a key metric (e.g., conversion, NPS, retention).
  • Experience designing generative AI workflows and a strong understanding of AI tools/techniques and their integration into workflows.
  • Expertise in Figma, including auto-layout, variants, and prototyping.
  • Basic understanding of front-end development constraints (React components, CSS, accessibility).
  • Clear, concise communication with a low words-to-insights ratio.
  • Ownership mindset: follow through on commitments and proactively identify risks.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments with minimal process.
  • Collaborate effectively and ship work rapidly and iteratively.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Genuine excitement for AI and building category-defining products.
  • Fantastic work ethic and ability to handle a demanding role.

Nice To Haves

  • LegalTech experience or understanding of legal workflows.
  • Comfort conducting user research and translating findings into information architecture and interaction patterns.
  • Interest in running tests, with a strong intuition for likely outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of generative AI from an engineering perspective.
  • Motion design skills (Lottie / After Effects) or ability to contribute to front-end code.
  • Design degree.

Responsibilities

  • Turn frontier AI into intuitive lawyer workflows, reducing cognitive load and driving elegance and consistency across the platform.
  • Rapidly prototype, user-test, polish, and ship designs.
  • Own the end-to-end design stack: research, information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and design quality assurance.
  • Contribute to rethinking onboarding, training, and the "prosumer" sales funnel.
  • Commit fully to a high-growth startup environment and thrive in ambiguous, 0-to-1 situations.
