About The Position

We are seeking a Lead UX Designer to create wireframes and interactive prototypes, design user interface features, site animations, and special effects elements, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines. This role involves conducting user research to understand needs and behaviors, developing information structure and flow, and determining optimal layout, media, and technology. The Lead UX Designer will collaborate closely with UI designers, developers, and product managers, contribute to enhancing digital offerings, and manage multiple projects independently. Ensuring designs comply with usability and accessibility standards, creating comprehensive design documentation, and maintaining security and documentation standards are key responsibilities. The role also includes conducting qualitative and quantitative research, defining navigation structures, content hierarchy, and workflows, creating user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes, developing high-fidelity mockups and UI components, ensuring platform consistency through design systems, applying WCAG standards, validating designs, and delivering cohesive solutions with product managers, developers, and QA teams. Additionally, the Lead UX Designer will mentor junior designers, contribute to team best practices, and introduce new design methodologies and micro-interaction patterns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Design Management
  • 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing User Flows, Wire-framing, Interaction Design, Visual Design & UI, and Design System
  • Utilizing Accessibility Design (WCAG), Micro Interactions, and Responsive Design
  • Utilizing Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision
  • Utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Responsibilities

  • Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize design solutions.
  • Design and develop user interface features, site animations, and special effects elements, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and aesthetic principles.
  • Conduct thorough user research to understand user needs and behaviors.
  • Develop and organize the structure and flow of information within the product.
  • Determine optimal layout, media, and technology based on client requirements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI designers, developers, and product managers, to ensure cohesive and effective design solutions.
  • Contribute to the design group’s efforts to enhance digital offerings.
  • Independently manage multiple projects.
  • Ensure that designs comply with usability and accessibility standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation.
  • Maintain security and documentation standards, including quality and accuracy.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, surveys, usability testing) to identify user needs and behaviors.
  • Translate findings into actionable design insights.
  • Define navigation structures, content hierarchy, and workflows.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard tools.
  • Develop high-fidelity mockups and UI components aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure consistency across platforms through design systems and reusable components.
  • Apply WCAG standards to ensure inclusive design.
  • Validate designs for usability, accessibility, and security compliance.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and QA teams to deliver cohesive solutions.
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to team best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive design documentation for audits and future reference.
  • Introduce new design methodologies and micro-interaction patterns to enhance user engagement.
