NVIDIA•Santa Clara, CA
•$208,000 - $379,500•Hybrid

About The Position

NVIDIA IT builds products employees use to work every day, including the company intranet and mobile app, IT help and self-service, an AI personal assistant, and secure workspaces for employee AI agents. NVIDIA is hiring its first user experience researcher to understand what makes employees productive and recommend what the organization should build, buy, or change to help more people work effectively. This is a senior, independent role responsible for setting the research agenda and leading a multi-quarter program on how employees work, including adoption of new ways of working and AI tools. The researcher will draw on existing sources such as annual IT survey responses, support tickets, and product analytics, as well as conduct field and other research. The role will shape core IT products, establish research practices and standards, coach product managers and designers, and translate findings into recommendations and decisions that influence roadmaps.

  • Deep mixed-methods expertise, including generative field research, survey design and analysis (including open text), and behavioral data analysis.
  • Portfolio or case studies demonstrating research that changed strategy, roadmap, or investment decisions, not only feature details.
  • Experience researching enterprise, internal, or workplace products used by employees.
  • Ability to work as the first or only researcher on a team, set the agenda, decline low-value studies, and coach others in research craft.
  • Clear writing and presentation skills that help senior leaders make decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience researching internal IT, employee experience, or workplace technology.
  • Quantitative skills using SQL, R, or Python, and experience with quasi-experimental designs such as matched comparisons.
  • Experience using LLMs to scale research synthesis and understanding of their limitations.

Responsibilities

  • Own a multi-quarter research program examining how employees work, adoption of new ways of working and AI tools, and opportunities for helpful tools.
  • Research and identify fundamental improvements to the intranet, IT help, and AI assistant.
  • Combine contextual inquiry, interviews, diary studies, survey data, support data, and product analytics; use AI to scale analysis while maintaining validity.
  • Select rigorous research methods and help the team determine which decisions require research.
  • Coach product managers and designers on study design, interview guides, and live interviewing, and partner with designers on usability research.
  • Establish the research practice, including a participant panel, consent and confidentiality standards in partnership with HR and Legal, and an insights repository.
  • Present clear recommendations to IT leadership, define experience and adoption metrics with product managers, and follow through so insights inform roadmaps.
