About The Position
The Learning Experience – River Vale is seeking a caring and dependable Lead Twos Teacher to guide a classroom serving 2-year-old learners. This role focuses on helping children build independence, communication skills, and social-emotional confidence through engaging activities, structured routines, and positive teacher-child relationships. This position is ideal for educators who enjoy working with energetic young learners during an important stage of growth and development.
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Prior childcare experience preferred
- Experience working with toddlers or twos strongly preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Reliable, nurturing, and team-oriented approach
- Must meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines and activities for 2-year-old children
- Implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences and classroom centers
- Encourage language development, independence, and positive social interaction
- Create a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Guide children through transitions including meals, learning centers, and group activities
- Partner with families through regular communication and classroom updates
- Collaborate with assistant teachers and center leadership
- Follow New Jersey childcare licensing requirements and center policies
