About The Position

First American's GO Title division provides title and escrow production support across First American Title's Mortgage Services, Commercial, Direct, and Agency divisions. The Lead Title Examiner reviews residential property records, verifies ownership, and helps ensure title products are accurate and complete. The role also draws on the employee’s experience to train team members and global partners on advanced title examination concepts. The employee works independently with support from a collaborative team and may handle escalations and other quality-related work as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of experience in title searching and examination in Florida.
Experience working with global partners.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and the ability to learn new systems.
Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
Commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and professionalism.
Familiarity with relevant legal and real estate terminology.

Responsibilities

Review public records, including deeds, liens, mortgages, easements, and maps, to confirm property ownership and identify potential issues.
Investigate and resolve discrepancies or missing information.
Compile clear, organized summaries of findings to support title commitments and smooth closings.
Train global partners on advanced title examination concepts, such as metes and bounds.
Work on escalations and other quality-related tasks as needed.
Communicate with internal teams and other partners to clarify information or resolve title questions.
Maintain quality and attention to detail while managing multiple title orders.
Work independently with support from an experienced, collaborative team.
Cultivate a productive and positive work environment with the team.
