LEAD THERAPIST (LICENSED)
About The Position
The Lead Therapist performs clinical services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatments, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term group therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed. In addition, this individual will function as the Staff Preceptor who will provide orientation, guidance, and training to all newly appointed Therapists. Present skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation and teaching.
Requirements
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a clinically related mental health field.
- Two (2) years experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Current LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCAC (license issued by the State of Missouri)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Successful completion of Handle With Care and Verbal De-escalation upon hire
- Seclusion and restraint training within 30 days of employment and annually
- Service Excellence training within 30 days of employment and annually
Nice To Haves
- This time in the field can include practicum and internship studies or work at a mental health institution while an undergraduate.
