About The Position
NaphCare is hiring a Lead Psychology Associate to join their team of medical professionals in the Arizona Department of Corrections in Winslow, Arizona. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to a diverse population of patients with complex mental health needs. As a Correctional Lead Psychology Associate, you will provide psychological treatment and support to the facility residents while working alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals.
Requirements
- Must hold a current, unrestricted Psychology license in the STATE
- Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
- Experience with underserved and marginalized populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse individuals, including other medical professionals, correctional staff and judges
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level clinical support
- Conduct complex assessments (ADHD, neuropsychological)
- Deliver evidence-based therapy
- Assist with treatment planning under supervision
- Conduct diagnostic interviews, administer and interpret psychological testing, and provide individual or group counseling
- Lead clinical teams, provide guidance to junior staff, and assist with program development
- Collaborate with licensed psychologists to develop, implement, and document, measurable patient treatment plans
- Maintain confidential records, meet billable hour targets, and ensure compliance with ethical guidelines
- Coordinate care with external providers, schools, and community resources
