Lead Technologist - New York
About The Position
As a Lead Technologist at Untold Studios, you will find new and better ways for Technology to enable our business. You will develop the studio’s cloud-based infrastructure, including workstations, render farm, network, and storage configuration, while looking to improve efficiencies. You will work with the Head of Technology to define our strategic direction and deliver innovative technology solutions to support this. You will lead projects from conception to final delivery. You have in-depth technical knowledge and are driven to work in a forward-thinking and innovative Technology department. You are a highly motivated problem-solving individual. You thrive when leading a close-knit team to find solutions to complex Technology challenges. You have great ideas and the skills to bring the best ideas from the wider team. Your experience ensures that these ideas are implemented in the most comprehensive, innovative way. We are committed to supporting you and your ongoing development. We will work closely with you to establish a personal progression plan. You are never on your own.
Requirements
- In-depth technical knowledge.
- Significant experience working in a core technology team.
- In-depth knowledge of editorial, post production & VFX related workflows.
- Knowledge of a range of industry standard software, including Houdini, Maya, Nuke, Flame, Premiere or Avid.
- Knowledge of Render Farms and Render Management Software, in particular Deadline.
- Worked with shared storage solutions and are confident working with critical and sensitive company data.
- Knowledge of a range of Operating Systems, including Linux, OSX and Windows.
- Proficient in python and bash scripting.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Cloud technology and deployment/orchestration technologies would be advantageous.
