We are seeking an experienced Senior Lead Technical Specialist (AV / Low Voltage Infrastructure) to oversee and execute on-site field installations, system integrations, and commissioning. This is a senior-level field role for a hands-on technical leader who can "hit the ground running" without requiring basic technical training. You will manage on-site field teams, interpret complex project blueprints, interact directly with government/client stakeholders, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring all work meets strict contract specifications.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in low-voltage integration, structured cabling, or commercial AV installation, with demonstrated experience acting as an on-site Lead, Foreman, or Field Lead.
• Proven expertise in terminating, testing, and certifying structured cabling systems.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial AV installation and basic system commissioning (control systems, display walls, signal distribution).
• Ability to read and navigate construction drawings, signal flow diagrams, and AV/cabling schematics effortlessly.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage project sites from Day 1 without requiring entry-level training.
• Ability to travel to regional and client project sites as needed, including potential short-term on-site assignments across government facilities.
• Ability to pass standard background checks and meet eligibility requirements for working within secure government facilities and contracts.
• Exceptional client-facing demeanor, patience, strong verbal/written communication skills, and natural leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site lead/foreman for technical field teams; direct day-to-day installation activities, assign tasks, and maintain quality standards across active job sites.
• Oversee the installation, integration, and initial commissioning of high-end AV infrastructure, including LED display walls, projectors, control systems, and commercial AV equipment.
• Lead and perform physical cable pulling, termination, testing, and certification for structured cabling and low-voltage integration projects.
• Read, interpret, and execute strictly against architectural, construction, and technical schematic blueprints.
• Serve as a key technical point of contact on-site for client managers, project leads, and government representatives, ensuring professional communication and swift resolution of site issues.
• Guide, train, and mentor mid-level and junior technicians on-site; enforce high safety standards, industry best practices, and thorough documentation.
• Coordinate cleanly with specialized internal divisions (such as physical construction/structural teams and project managers) to ensure smooth project delivery from site demo to final handoff.
