About The Position

This role involves overseeing daily operations within Environmental Services, ensuring the facility is clean and well-maintained. The Lead Tech will walk through the facility to assess the census and prioritize tasks, receive daily instructions from the EVS Director, and manage supply and equipment closets. This position requires delegating tasks to staff, planning floor projects for specific shifts, and assisting with setups as needed. The role also involves exposure to various cleaning chemicals and waste streams.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Must have automobile insurance.

Nice To Haves

• High School or equivalent, preferred.
• Preferred experience in and knowledge of floor work pertaining to; stripping, waxing, burnishing, and carpet cleaning.
• Prefer previous knowledge of hospital cleaning techniques and experience with using hospital grade chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Walkthrough of facility, ascertain census, and prioritize tasks.
• Meet with EVS Director for changeover and daily instruction.
• Monitor supply closets and equipment closets to ensure they are stocked and organized.
• Delegate tasks to staff members in order of priority.
• Plan floor projects for heavy cleaners on evening and graveyard shifts.
• Assist in completing setups as needed.
