About The Position
The Lead Tech for Environmental Services is responsible for overseeing daily operations, including facility walkthroughs, prioritizing tasks, and managing supply and equipment inventory. This role involves meeting with the EVS Director for daily instructions, delegating tasks to staff, and planning floor projects for evening and graveyard shifts. The Lead Tech also assists with setups as needed. The position involves working indoors with occasional outdoor tasks and frequent exposure to wet conditions, disinfectants, and various chemicals, including biomedical and pharmaceutical waste streams.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Must have automobile insurance
Nice To Haves
- High School or equivalent, preferred
- Preferred experience in and knowledge of floor work pertaining to; stripping, waxing, burnishing, and carpet cleaning
- Prefer previous knowledge of hospital cleaning techniques and experience with using hospital grade chemicals and equipment
Responsibilities
- Walkthrough of facility, ascertain census, and prioritize tasks.
- Meet with EVS Director for changeover and daily instruction.
- Monitor supply closets and equipment closets to ensure they are stocked and organized.
- Delegate tasks to staff members in order or priority.
- Plan floor projects for heavy cleaners on evening and graveyard shifts.
- Assist in completing setups as needed.
