About The Position

Guidepost Montessori is hiring a Lead Teacher to lead an infant or toddler classroom in a Montessori environment. Lead Infant Guides lead mixed-age infant classrooms for ages 0–3, while Lead Toddler Guides lead mixed-age toddler classrooms. The classroom is designed to support children’s natural development, independence, movement, curiosity, and discovery. The Guide prepares the environment, observes each child closely, and provides individualized care that respects each child’s rhythms and needs, helping children develop trust in themselves and the world around them.

Guidepost infant classrooms feature open floor space, child-sized furniture and materials, curriculum supporting independence in feeding, dressing, and toileting, scientifically designed fine- and gross-motor materials, natural elements, and opportunities for movement and discovery. Materials are made from wood and metal rather than plastic, and the environment avoids restrictive devices.

Requirements

• Experience working with children ages 0–3 in a group care setting.
• Alignment with child-led educational philosophies such as Montessori or Reggio Emilia.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Interest in pursuing fully sponsored Montessori certification through the Prepared Montessorian Institute, or a prior Montessori diploma.
