About The Position

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities that foster the holistic development of young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivated to learn. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood learning standards, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to building positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

18 years or older
High School Diploma or GED
Previous 1 year experience in a preschool or child care learning facility is required
DHS training

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood learning standards
Create a welcoming classroom where children feel secure, respected, and encouraged to explore
Promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through structured and unstructured activities
Maintain discipline and establish routines that encourage positive behavior and cooperation
Observe, assess, and document children’s growth, behaviors, and learning progress using appropriate tools and methods
Build strong partnerships with families through regular updates, parent-teacher conferences, and progress reports
Follow all health, hygiene, and safety protocols, including maintaining a clean and organized classroom
Work with fellow teachers, aides, and school administrators to support school goals and share best practices
Modify activities to accommodate children with diverse learning needs and developmental levels
Participate in ongoing training, workshops, and staff meetings to stay current with early childhood education trends
