About The Position

The Lead Teacher works side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home experience for children in care, following Early Learning Leaders NAC guidelines. The role involves caring for and supervising children ages 6 weeks through 12 years, creating developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with NAC standards and Arizona Early Learning Standards, and developing programs and activities based on children's interests and learning styles. The teacher maintains a warm, safe, clean environment where children can grow and explore, partners with families to plan care and education, and communicates effectively with parents and guardians about their child.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks through 12 years.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAC standards and the Arizona Early Learning Standards.
