About The Position

This is a child care center teaching role focused on inspiring children to become lifelong learners. The Lead Teacher develops interactive learning experiences, supports and mentors fellow Teachers, and promotes preschool children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth. The role leads classroom management and curriculum implementation while ensuring compliance with licensing guidelines and company standards. It also involves building relationships with enrolled and prospective families to support children’s achievement and the center’s success. The position requires working indoors or outdoors and engaging in physical activity with children. The work week is Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Be able to meet state education requirements and the child care center’s requirements.
• Be able to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Responsibilities

• Develop fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Mentor fellow Teachers.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in the class.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Understand and follow licensing guidelines and company standards.
• Build relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote children’s achievement and support the center’s success.
• Work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
